As your body gets used to it, you can work up to 45 minutes or more and even use the pack daily. Some people choose to wear it overnight while they sleep. The oil is thick and sticky, so the pack we like comes with elastic ties so you can move around more easily. It’s also lined with waterproof material to help prevent oil from leaking through, though it can still seep out around the edges, so it’s a good idea to wear old clothes, and protect your bed with old towels if you’re choosing to wear it overnight.
Each time you use your castor oil pack, add a little more oil to replace what was absorbed. You don’t need to wash the pack in between uses. For the first use, start with 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of oil. After that, just add 1 tablespoon, then ½ tablespoon for later uses. Store your pack in a jar in the fridge between uses, along with your bottle of castor oil.
